Raveen on the loom

Raveen on the loom

Raveen controls the weaving process by manipulating pedals to raise
and lower specific warp threads, creating sheds through which the weft
is passed. This process, known as shedding, allows the weft yarn to be
inserted with a shuttle or by hand. After each pass of the weft, he beats
it down with a comb-like tool called a beater or Reed in our case, to
ensure a tight weave.
